Funding for the Math & Science CenterFunding for Center operations currently comes from several sources:
The Center has been the recipient of a number of Foundation and local service club grants to fund specific projects and general operating expenses. In addition, we received funding through the State of Colorado’s STEM Network as one of the original STEM Centers for the State of Colorado.
Contributions from generous individuals, businesses and organizations continue to support the mission and operations of the Center. Donations may be made by check or credit card at various donor levels. The Center also offers individual and family annual memberships. Clink on this link to obtain a donation/membership form. Please print the form and mail the completed form along with your check to the John McConnell Math & Science Center (2660 Unaweep Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81503). The Center charges nominal admission fees and fees for field trip visits, camps and special activities and facilities rental.
Local businesses and professionals provide materials and support for the Center’s displays and exhibits.
School District 51 provides facilities and financial support to the Center. The University of Colorado School of Engineering and Technology provides student stipends for college students to work and learn at the Center and other financial support.
