Summer 2024 Camps

Registration is open for 2024 Summer Camps at EUREKA!

Visit our Environmental Institute page to view our outdoor-based field science focus programs.

EUREKA! summer camps are available for 5-15 year old students. (Note: All students must be 5 before the start of each camp). Students should be registered for the age they will be at the time of the camp. Guardians are responsible for ensuring their campers are registered for the age-appropriate camp, as listed in the Dashboard event.

All registration is done through our Dashboard System. Instructions on how to create an account can be found here!

Typical on-site camp rates:

  • Members: $225 for a 5-day camp
  • Non-Members: $250 for a 5-day camp

Tentative Daily Schedule for EUREKA!-based camps (Off-site CSU Research Center and Environmental Institute camps may have different schedules):

  • 8:30AM-9:00AM – Drop Off
  • 9:00AM-4:30PM – STEAM Lessons and Activities (with lunch and snack breaks)
  • 4:30PM-5:15PM – Pick Up

Credits for cancelled camps will no longer be issued, regardless of cancellation date. Parents that cancel more than two weeks in advance can receive a full refund, minus the standard processing fees. Lunch Lizard

We plan to partner with Lunch Lizard to provide the option for all EUREKA! based students to have a free lunch Monday-Thursday, however there are select dates this service is not available.

More information will be sent to registered families.

Immunizations

As a state licensed child care facility, EUREKA! requires immunization records (MMR, Tetanus, Polio, Hep A/B) for all student campers. If your student attends school in Mesa County, you will not need to upload these records.

If your student does not attend school in Mesa County, or is homeschooled, you must upload immunization records to the account. Registration will not process without uploaded records to each student's account. Please follow these steps to upload the documents.

  • Log into Dashboard
  • Click FAMILY & FRIENDS on the left
  • Click EDIT on the student's account
  • On the right, you'll see a button +ADD DOCUMENT

EUREKA! will accept medical exemptions for immunizations (MMR, Tetanus, Polio, Hep A/B) upon submission of the medical exemption form reviewed and signed by a physician (MD or DO). All non-medical exemptions will not be accepted.

Camp FAQ

What is the cancellation policy for program registration?

Prior to camp, we work hard to ensure all materials are prepared and ordered for all camp participants. Therefore, refunds can only be issued up to two weeks before the start date of the camp. Cancellations made prior to the two week window will receive a full refund, minus the standard processing fees (5% of the total transaction). We can not partially refund a camp due to illness. Credits for cancelled camps will no longer be issued, regardless of cancellation date.

For Environmental Institute Overnight Programs, refunds can only be issued up to four weeks before the date of the camp, and will incur the same 5% standard processing fee.

To cancel registration, email info@eurekasciencemuseum.org with the full name of the child, camp name, and dates for the program you wish to cancel.

How does the waitlist work?

Our program waitlists are first-come, first-served. When a spot becomes available, an email goes out to everyone on the waitlist at the same time. You must log on to the dashboard and register for the program to reserve the available space. If you log on to register and are unable to - someone else has already registered, the camp is full again, and you will remain on the waitlist.

Do you have summer camps for student younger than 5?

Our summer camps are licensed for students 5 and older. If your student is 4, but turning 5 before the start date of the program, they can register for 5 year old camps.

What is Lunch Lizard?

Lunch Lizard is a mobile food program that provides all kids with a free lunch (Monday-Thursday), on-site at EUREKA!. Campers are welcome to bring a packed lunch or utilize this program. The daily menu can be found here.

How can I request my camper to be grouped with their friends?

For some camps, we split the registered group into different classrooms for the week. If you'd like to request your camper to be grouped with their friends, please let us know by 12pm the Wednesday before camp starts (email camps@eurekasciencemuseum.org). We send weekly reminders in the parent email, and are unable to change rosters after this weekly deadline.

For any additional help or questions please contact us at info@eurekasciencemuseum.org or by phone during business hours at 970-254-1626.
